Finding my Anchor

Every collection of poems starts with something the writer is trying to hold onto. Finding My Anchor is my first book of personal poetry, releasing fall 2027.
I designed the cover and visual identity myself. The concept is an anchor that’s been left behind: a rusted anchor half-buried in wet sand as the tide washes over it, set under a flowing hand-lettered title in white. I carried the idea across two directions. One is a warm sand-and-rust cover. The other is a cool teal ocean-wave hardcover with an embossed border and the title in script. Both were built in Photoshop, along with a banner and book mockups for the announcement.
